Story: Long before her birth, Alex's kingdom, Shifting Kingdom, went into solitude after her great-great-great-grandfather announced they were to weak. So they withdrew themselves from the world to practice defense. So after all this time, they master the art. Unfortunately, now they have been officially disconnected from the world. So her parents Belia and Trevor take the risk of sending their only child and towns person daring enough to experience the world and come monthly to report whats happened and changed to the kingdoms; like whose in an alliance, who befriended our kingdom, what are the heirs-in-line like? And to ensure her safety, they connect to the only kingdom left in communication with them- Empty Kingdom. So, in an alliance, the rulers there gave up there 3rd-in-line-to-rule son for her protection. He was trained from a very small child to protect Alex. He is a skilled and rather cold guy. So Alex goes out into the cruel world, learning about kingdoms, hospitality, "swag",enemies and alliances, poison pedo frogs, what people know, and most importantly, what the hell happened while her people were "away." But get this straight, her journey is not a worldly travel of the gossip that went around, it is purely factual.

Other: Alex owns a rescues shelter. She feels terrible for homeless animals, and takes them all in. She has her 5 dogs: 2 boy and girl Tibetan Mastiffs and Pitt Bulls, and 1 sailor puppy. Shauna and Mark are the Tibetans, Shananay and Mitri the Pitts. Sailor Puppy is names Seagle. She has countless rabbits, deer, komodo dragons, butterflies, elephants, horses, red pandas, Dugong, and many others. She is the only one living on her property, or for thousands of miles around, that has a good sized part of a lake, grasslands, woods, other various habitats for various animals.

Nate is the youngest of 3 children for the royalty of the Empty Kingdom. He was looked down upon by his parents and older sisters because he was the runt of their family. Despite having exceptional skills, it was never enough to compete with his family. Being the 'Prince of Nothing', he can virtually turn off his emotions. He can "Evacuate the Air" around him, making it unable for others to get close without the explosive space effect. Or extreme pain. He's saved quite a few lives with this effect however, because it forms a vacuum. i.e. sucking poison out of veins. He's usually around Alex when she meets someone new, but doesn't bother to show himself because of his antisocial behavior.
